David Ridler, Managing Director of 1 Big Data Management hosted his 17th Christmas Charity Invitational Golf Day at West Herts Golf Club on the 18th November. This hugely successful event organised by David each year has raised over £400,000 towards good causes. Money raised from this year’s event was donated to the Cure Parkinson’s Trust and UK Stem Cell Research.

Representing 1 Big Self Store were Captain & Self Store Manager Andy Rimmell, Archive Manager Paul Driscoll along with guests Kelvin Pender of Left Turn Facilities and Paul Wicks of Plastic Panels. 23 teams entered the event with a shotgun start at 10:00am on a crisp sunny morning in West Hertfordshire.

Top scoring for 1 Big Self Store was Andy Rimmell with 36 points, leading the team to their highest finish of 3rd place at this event. The individual event was won by Stuart Spence representing Highgrove Building Services, scoring 42 points.

The golf was followed by a charity auction and presentation that raised more than £20,000 towards David’s two nominated charities. David would like to thank all those that attended the day, those that donated fantastic auction prizes and of course all the staff and friends at West Herts Golf Club who helped make the event such a successful day.
